Guilherme Miotto (Brazil,1979) created his own approach to performance - ‘Instinctive Performance’ in 2006. Since then, he has been choreographing and teaching internationally for dance and theatre professionals and students. He has been awarded, for his choreographic work, with the Grand Prix of Kontrapunkt, The Magnolia Award, 2011 - Szczecin, Poland and with the Best Film for Camera Rework award, 2011 Cinedans Film Festival - Amsterdam, nl. His performative method 'Instictive Performance' is regularly taught in Holland at the Fontys Dance Academy in Tilburg and the Maastricht Theatre Academy. He has taught at the Atelier de Paris, DanceExchange (Birmingham), DanceBase (Edinburgh) amongst other venues and festivals. Miotto attended The Rotterdam Dance Academy, Stuttgart Ballet Academy and Perm State Ballet School in Russia. He currently is studying toward a degree in philosophy and psychological studies. He moved to the Netherlands in 1998, where for ten years, as a dancer, he performed in and participated in the creation of new performance work with numerous choreographers including Emio Greco/Pieter Scholten, Krisztina de Chatel and Bruno Listopad. Since 2012, Miotto is co - artistic director of the foundation Bodies Anonymous.
